Mission Accomplished!
The Sleekit Mitts are done! A complete pair. Erm (the Husband) wants a pair of black mitts now that he’s seen these mitts finished.
I also made another set of knitting needles today. These are US5 bamboo needles. I just took a couple of bamboo skewers and sanded them down to gauge, then glued on some beads to pretty them up. I can’t bring myself to buy knitting needles when I can buy a bag of 200 skewers at WalMart for $2 and make my own. Plus, it’s more fun to use needles that I’ve made myself.

Here’s some others I made: a set of US5 DPN’s made from a pine dowel, and a set of size 15’s also made from a dowel with Fimo beads I made for the endcaps.
